Edgefest Celebrates The First DecadeEdgefest, Ann Arbor's nationally recognized avant garde festival, will this year present its tenth festival on October 11-14. The first decade is celebrated by bringing back many of the top artists who have appeared. These include British saxophonist Evan Parker, Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, Swedish accordionist Lars Hollmer, Montreal saxophonist Jean Derome, a long line of the best players from New York including pianist.Myra Melford, saxophonists Oliver Lake, Tim Berne, Ned Rothenberg, & Chris Speed, bassists Mark Dresser & Drew Gress, drummers Tom Rainey & Matt Wilson, Chicago's 8 Bold Souls, and several local players. The latter include former Ann Arborite, pianist Craig Taborn.
