Sir Charles Thompson at Mr. B’s Blues and Boogie Piano Orgy at
the Ark on April 22nd. The 83-year old was a delight with his distinctive
take on jazz standards still intact.
David "Fathead" Newman at the Bird of Paradise on April
28th with the Ron Brooks trio. Newman was delighted with his accompanists,
which included Tad Weed on the piano and drummer Pete Siers.
