Michigan Jazz Festival Is Still Kicking
As we told you in our March issue, the Michigan Jazz Festival will be virtual this year. The lineup of Detroit area jazz talent is formidable even in a virtual format. The Festival will go live on www.michiganjazzfestival.org at Noon on Sunday, July 18, and will remain available online for eight days. We are all looking forward to a live and in person festival in 2022. The recent passing of John Trudell, one of the founders of the festival, hangs over this year’s festival and has caused some last-minute changes.
